The Bulls Rising in Eastern Conference; Red Wings End Canucks Winning Streak

The Chicago Bulls continue to rise in the Eastern Conference. Yesterday, they came out with an 87-80 victory over the Washington Wizards, making that their ninth win in the last ten games. Bulls’ forward Carlos Boozer scored 30 points, as well as ten rebounds and seven assists, while Derrick Rose added 25 of his own.
“I feel like I’m getting better and better every day,” Boozer said, talking about his broken hand. “I’m still not where I want to be but I don’t think I’m too far away.”

The Detroit Red Wings battled the Vancouver Canucks fiercely for a 5-4 victory, strengthening their climb back to the top spot in the Western Conference. The win lifted the Red Wings past the Dallas Stars in the conference, and ended a four-game winning streak for the Canucks. “You look at the standings, everything’s gotten pretty condensed here, so every point matters right now,” Detroit’s goalie Jimmy Howard stated after the game. “We battled hard, we never gave up. We wanted to win this game. It was a great win.”
